1892-CC FS-501 Eagle, AU58
Winter 1-A, Tripled Die Reverse
1892-CC $10 AU58 NGC. Winter 1-A. Repunching in the lower
loops of 8 and 9 in the date keys this Winter 1-A variety. A rare
second variety, Winter 2-A, lacks repunching and the date is
further left. Lustrous orange-gold surfaces show a few light
abrasions and thin marks. Die tripling on the reverse is most
evident on the scroll edges and the motto. The reverse die was
employed for both varieties. This sharp AU58 coin offers excellent
eye appeal for the grade.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 266W, PCGS# 8722, Greysheet# 9513)
