Description
1795 1/2P Washington Grate Halfpenny, Large Buttons, Reeded Edge MS63 Brown PCGS. Baker-29B, W-10955, R.1. The holder permits viewing of the edge, which has reeding sloping down to the right. This Baker variant is described as 29B by Rulau but referenced as 29A in Whitman. The obverse is deep mahogany-brown and the reverse is dark brown with lilac, cobalt-blue, and olive undertones. The dies are moderately rotated. Listed on page 83 of the 2013 Guide Book.From The Dr. Charles Nelson Collection.
