1795 B-4, BB-14 Flowing Hair Dollar, VF25
Scarce and Popular 'Hidden Star' Obverse
1795 $1 Flowing Hair, Two Leaves, B-4, BB-14, R.4, VF25
PCGS. The right-hand stars are more widely spaced on BB-14 than
other varieties, a result of star 15 tucked beneath the bust
truncation and "hidden" near the date -- the only such star
alignment of the Flowing Hair dollars, and a collector favorite for
that reason. High rims protect the open fields and raised devices,
resulting in less wear and fewer marks than expected for the VF
level. Attractive, old-silver toning covers both sides, with the
