Great as a 19th Century Type Coin
1896 1C MS66+ Red PCGS. CAC. This is a simply beautiful
Indian cent. The surfaces are thickly frosted, and both sides exude
cherry-red and reddish-rose colored luster. We can find no areas of
mentionable striking incompleteness, and both sides are equally
devoid of distracting impairments. Surprisingly elusive at the
present level of preservation. Population: 35 in 66 (8 in 66+) Red,
2 finer. CAC: 16 in 66, 1 finer (4/19).Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 6/2002), lot 5178.(Registry values: N2998)
