Description

1842-O 10C Medium O, F-106, R.6, AU58 PCGS. This variety is rare according to Gerry Fortin. The obverse shows a die chip next to Liberty's left (facing) fingers, and in this marriage is paired to a reverse with a centered mintmark and moderate die erosion. This near-Mint example displays bold detail and little high-point friction. Satiny luster remains in the fields. Much of each side is amber-orange, with sea-green and bluish hues around the borders.
