Description
1890-CC Liberty Twenty, AU58
Substantial Mint Luster, Original Color
1890-CC $20 AU58 NGC. Winter 1-A. Carson City authority
Rusty Goe estimates the surviving population of 1890-CC double
eagles at the AU58 grade level between 550 to 700 pieces despite
the combined AU58 population by PCGS and NGC exceeding 1,000
grading events. In any case, the 1890-CC represents an outstanding
opportunity to obtain a nearly Mint State CC double eagle with
surfaces that are arguably more attractive than many technically
full Mint State pieces. This is such a coin, with nearly full
luster and only nominal circulation wear. The original orange-gold
surfaces exude old West eye appeal.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26BY, PCGS# 9014, Greysheet# 9947)
