1797 13 Stars Dime, VG8
JR-2, Strong Borders
1797 10C 13 Stars, JR-2, R.4, VG8 PCGS. There are two
varieties of the 1797 Draped Bust dime, and both are Guide
Book listings due to their different star counts on the
obverse. JR-2 is the 13 Stars Obverse. This circulated piece
displays significant wear, hence the VG grade, but it is evenly
struck with complete borders despite the advanced wear -- this is
unusual for early dimes. Deep gunmetal-gray, blue, and violet hues
