Description
1797 1/2 C 1 Above 1, Plain Edge Fine 15 NGC. C-1, B-1, R.2. Manley Die State 4.0-5.0. with ICA absent due to die failure on the opposite portion of the obverse die. Most examples of Cohen-1 were struck on cut-down Talbot, Allum & Lee cent tokens. On the present piece, rigging from the undertype is visible on the obverse near 3 o'clock. Toned tan, rose, and aquamarine with a few moderate thin marks and a slightly wavy appearance at the top of the wreath.
