Tierra del Fuego. Territory gold "Popper" 5 Gramos 1889 AU Details (Cleaned) NGC, KM-Tn8, Janson-7. No stars at date variety. The larger and rarer of two denominations struck in Buenos Aires by Julius Popper, a Romanian-born Jewish adventurer who was granted permission to mine gold and strike coins on the Argentine side of the island.
