Lustrous AU53 1856-S Three Dollar
1856-S $3 AU53 PCGS. The light abrasions visible under a loupe are consistent with a short spate in circulation, but there is little actual wear visible. Considerable luster covers the orange-gold surfaces of this popular S-mint issue, one of only four available (and excluding the unique 1870-S) in the series.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25M9, PCGS# 7975, Greysheet# 8664)
