Description
1795 50C 2 Leaves, O-109, T-16, R.4, VG8 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 1/1. An evenly worn, pleasingly toned VG example of the Overton-109 variety. The variety is very rare in high grades, but relatively available at this level. Golden tan toning deepens to bluish-brown at the borders with sharp definition on both sides save for slight weakness at the upper left obverse. Abrasions are few and softened by wear, and the criss-crossing adjustment marks on the portrait are also diminished by circulation.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24E7, Variety PCGS# 39227, Base PCGS# 6052, Greysheet# 194050)
