1802 Draped Bust Half Dollar, VF20
O-101, T-1, Only Dies for the Date

1802 50C O-101, T-1, R.3, VF20 PCGS. A small mintage of 29,890 Draped Bust half dollars was accomplished in 1802, with a single die marriage known for the date. The 1802 is a sought-after issue among series specialists and high-grade specimens are very rare. This pleasing VF20 example shows slight wear on the left side of the drapery and much of the interior detail on the hair remains intact. Shades of lavender-gray and golden-brown toning blanket the lightly abraded surfaces.
