1923-S Walking Liberty Half, AU58
Original Patina and Luster
1923-S 50C AU58 CACG. Only light high-point wear appears on
this lustrous and satiny near-Mint 1923-S Walker. Much of each side
displays light champagne toning over ivory luster, while deep
russet speckling appears around the borders and adjacent to the
devices. This San Francisco issue is well known to have weak
strikes, so the central softness on this piece is not surprising.
The date is much scarcer than its mintage of more than 2.1 million
