1955 FS-101 Cent, MS64 Red and Brown
Doubled Die Obverse, CAC Approval

1955 1C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS64 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. There is a strong argument to be made that the 1955 Doubled Die Obverse cent is the most famous 20th century issue in U.S. coinage and a holy grail of sorts in the Lincoln cent series. This richly toned, copper-brown and fire-orange example is typically soft on the obverse high points, but doubling is dramatic and the fields are smooth. Fantastic eye appeal. PCGS has graded only 10 Red and Brown submissions finer (12/18).
