1652 SHILNG Oak Tree Shilling, IN at Bottom, XF40 PCGS. Noe-5, W-470, Salmon 3-D, R.2. Ex: House of Davis McKinney. 70.83 gn. A charming olive-gray and walnut-brown shilling. The characteristic S-wave shape, as issued from a rocker press, focused wear on the top of tree while protecting the remainder of the coin. Devoid of marks, though traces of lacquer residue are noted in reverse crevices. The obverse was moderately misaligned toward 6 o'clock, usual for Noe-5. Listed on page 39 of the 2016 Guide Book.
