1870 $2 1/2 MS61 NGC. Only 4,520 Business-strike Liberty quarter eagles were struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1870 and the date is a prime condition rarity in any Mint State grade. This attractive MS61 example exhibits sharply detailed design elements and the pleasing greenish-gold surfaces display radiant mint luster on both sides. Census: 9 in 61, 2 finer (8/24).
