Description

1822 50C O-106, R.3, MS61 ANACS. A brightly lustrous example of this scarcer die pair. Peach and gold border toning gives way to shining silver at the centers. Wonderfully detailed with few overt marks for the grade. The O-106 reverse shows a pair of vertical shield lines extending upward into the azure (horizontal lines) of the upper shield. The 18 in the date is much higher than the 22. Housed in an early generation ANACS holder.
Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2010), lot 4098.
