1885 Liberty Nickel, MS62
Popular Key Date
1885 5C MS62 NGC. The 1885 is the key date in the Liberty
nickel series. This Mint State example displays satiny luster with
warm golden toning. Some light hairlines limit the grade, but no
singular abrasions are evident. The corn ear to the left of the
wreath bow is only slightly weak, and there is also some strike
softness on Liberty's temple hair curls.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2773, PCGS# 3846, Greysheet# 2950)
