1885 Liberty Head Nickel, MS65
Famous Key Date, Original Surfaces
1885 5C MS65 PCGS. CAC. The 1885 has always been the key to
the Liberty Head nickel series with its relatively low mintage of
1.4 million coins. Most examples circulated heavily, but this Gem
was obviously set aside and left untouched. Blushes of dusky
violet, blue, and gold patina grace what are otherwise brilliant
surfaces that shimmer with cartwheel luster. Razor-sharp
