1652 Pine Tree Shilling, VF20
Reversed N, Salmon 7a-Diii
1652 Pine Tree Shilling, Large Planchet, Reversed N, Noe-9,
W-750, Salmon 7a-Diii, R.6, VF20 PCGS. 68.4 grains. A rare Noe
variety distinguished by barbell-shaped tree roots. The first N in
ENGLAND is reversed, and the A in AN has a hair-thin crossbar. This
unblemished example has stone-white high points and steel-gray
toning on the fields near the borders. A Boston Mint clip affects
the tops of a few peripheral letters. Listed on page 9 of the 2026
