1846/5-O $10 AU50 NGC. Certified as a Normal Date variety by NGC, but the present lot is the variety listed in the Guide Book as an 1846-O 6 Over 5. The mintmark is centered between the EN in TEN. The various varieties of 1846-O eagles divide a low mintage of 81,780 pieces. This boldly defined example has medium green-gold toning and glimmers of remaining luster. Distributed marks include minor edge nicks near 1:30 on each side.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 262X, Variety PCGS# 8596, Base PCGS# 8595, Greysheet# 9435)
