1899-O Barber Half, MS65
Conditionally Rare, Original Toning
1899-O 50C MS65 PCGS. The 1899-O is elusive in Mint State
and rare in Gem condition. This MS65 PCGS coin displays satiny
luster with large interior areas of sun-gold toning. The border
regions have deeper olive-green and amber-brown color. The obverse
is sharp, but the reverse shows typical New Orleans weakness on the
right-hand side of the eagle's body and talons. Population: 9 in
65, 8 finer (5/16).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24M7, PCGS# 6484, Greysheet# 6592)
