Description

1901 50C MS65 PCGS. CAC. The 1901 is one of the surprises in the Barber half series. With a mintage of 4.2 million pieces it should be common in all grades, but the issue is a condition rarity at the Gem level. This is a sharply struck example that is toned in medium density shadings of gray, lilac, and rose. There are no reportable abrasions on either side. Population: 30 in 65 (10 in 65+), 7 finer. CAC: 4 in 65, 4 finer (5/16).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24MC, PCGS# 6489, Greysheet# 6562)
