Chihli. Kuang-hsü Dollar Year 34 (1908) MS64 PCGS, Pei Yang Arsenal mint, KM-Y73.2, L&M-465, Kann-208. Long central spine on tail, cloud connected variety. A more widely encountered issue within the coveted "Dragon Dollar" series, brilliant examples remain a treasured commodity in Chinese numismatics. This near-Gem Chihli example is superb, quite choice for the assigned grade, displaying impeccably smooth, satin luster atop wholesome pearl-white surfaces. A perfect specimen for a high-end Dollar set that should inspire fierce competition among bidders.
