1890-CC Dollar, MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike
White-on-Black Cameo Contrast

1890-CC $1 MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. A brilliant and beautiful better-date Carson City dollar. The frosty portrait and eagle contrast with the flashy fields. The sweet spot of the cheek is smooth. A thin, bright line begins on the portrait between the ear and lower leaf, then descends to the bottom of the shoulder curl. This near-Gem was struck from the same obverse die as VAM-11, but the reverse differs, instead matching VAM-2.(Registry values: P5, N1793)
