Description
1809 50C XXX Edge, O-101, R.5, XF45 PCGS. Pale gold drapes lightly marked surfaces that retain traces of luster within the stars and legends. There is expected friction over the high points of the portrait, and the eagle's head and left wing are incomplete. This rare Overton variety shows the points of stars 11 and 12 nearly touching, and the U in UNITED is recut. The experimental XXX edge is always popular with collectors.From The Loma Linda Collection.
