Description

Impressive 1859-S Dime, MS62.

1859-S 10C MS62 PCGS. CAC. The 1858-S and 1859-S dimes had identical mintages of 60,000 coins, and they have similar populations. While seven Mint State 1858-S dimes are certified at PCGS and NGC, just five of these 1859-S dimes are certified in Mint State. The five coins include three MS62 dimes, one MS63, and one MS65. Gerry Fortin has only identified one die marriage through his many years of researching the series. This lovely Mint State piece has brilliant and frosty silver luster with faint champagne overtones. A lovely piece. Population: 1 in 62, 2 finer (8/10).
