Scarce Civil War Issue

1861-S 10C MS61 PCGS. CAC. From a mintage of 172,500 pieces, this Civil War era dime is scarce in any grade, and very rare in Mint State. The present coin exhibits a razor-sharp strike, with fine detail present on all design elements. The surfaces display subtle mint luster under wisps of lavender toning. Population: 1 in 61, 5 finer (8/10).
