1885 Nickel, Lightly Toned MS65
1885 5C MS65 PCGS. A glowing Gem representative of this famous Liberty nickel key, of which only 1.4 million pieces were struck. Strongly struck overall with only slight softness on a few of the obverse stars. Rich orange-rose patina drapes most of each side. Finer examples are seldom seen. Population: 55 in 65 (4 in 65+), 43 finer (3/17).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2773, PCGS# 3846, Greysheet# 2950)
