Description

1800 $1 Wide Date, Low 8, B-10, BB-190, R.3, VF25 PCGS. Bowers Die State VI. Several cracks occupy the legend on the reverse and wind their way toward the eagle. The obverse is free of cracks but lapped. Despite the dodgy state of the reverse die, sharp definition remains on the central motifs and the margins are strong at the assigned grade. Pleasing golden tan toning yields to bluish-brown accents with traces of remaining mint luster. Marks are limited to a few small digs and lines. An excellent collector coin, housed in a green label holder.
