1938 50C Boone MS67+ PCGS. CAC. Celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of the American frontiersman Daniel Boone, this commemorative half dollar series ran from 1934 to 1938. The final 1938 distribution from Philadelphia was only 2,100 pieces, as over half of the 5,005 coins struck went unsold. This Plus-graded Superb Gem is endorsed by CAC and is tied for finest at PCGS (10/25). Sharply struck with silver-gray centers, the remainder of the coin displays rich hues of reddish-russet, antique-gold, and lime-green.
