Brandenburg-Franconia. Albert the Younger of Bayreuth Taler 1549 XF40 NGC, Dav-8969. A positively glowing example of this very rare taler, even the few marks of handling that are present seeming extremely minor for a type of this age, weakness generally lacking, and the overall sharpness of the design accentuated by considerable backlight.
