Scarce New Orleans Type Coin
1855-O 50C Arrows, WB-101, WB-4, R.3, MS65 PCGS. This Arrows
half dollar from the New Orleans mint is always a collector
favorite, representing both a short-lived type and a branch mint
issue in high grade. This is a satiny and lustrous Gem example with
lightly toned centers that are surrounded by pale blue marginal
toning. The strike is razor-sharp for an O-Mint half that is
notorious for its weak strikes. Population: 22 in 65 (1 in 65+), 9
finer (10/17).From The Wind River Collection.
