Description

1831 JR-5 Dime, MS64
Warmly Toned, CAC-Approved Beauty

1831 10C JR-5, R.1, MS64 PCGS. CAC. Orange, lemon-gold, green, and light-rose tones grace original, softly lustrous surfaces. Inarguably clean for the grade. The second T in STATES is over the I in PLURIBUS, and the second 1 in the date has a curved flag, confirming the JR-5 attribution. Repunching is evident on the D in UNITED. The obverse is boldly clashed, with shield marks visible at Liberty's ear.
Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2019), lot 3060.
