1893 Barber Dime, MS67+
Tied for Finest Certified

1893 10C MS67+ PCGS. CAC. The novelty of Charles Barber's new coin design seems to have worn off in just its second year of issue. More than 3.3 million Barber dimes were struck in 1893, but only a few high-quality examples were saved by contemporary collectors. While the 1892 is readily obtainable in Superb Gem condition today, the 1893 is very rare. This amazing Registry Set contender exhibits variegated shades of blue, green, purple, and orange color with vibrant luster percolating through the toning. The centers remain mostly brilliant on both sides, and the strike is sharp throughout. A simply unimprovable example. Population: 6 in 67 (2 in 67+), 0 finer (11/15).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23DN, PCGS# 4800, Greysheet# 4322)
