Description

1911-D Quarter Eagle, MS62
Bold Strike Definition

1911-D $2 1/2 MS62 NGC. The partial wire rim found on authentic 1911-D quarter eagles is strong, as is the D mintmark, which is often difficult to make out on this key-date issue from a low mintage of 55,680 coins. Orange-gold surfaces exhibit bold strike definition. Subdued satiny mint luster appears over each side. A few faint hairlines limit the grade, but not the appeal.(Registry values: N4719)
