1878 Dollar, MS65 Deep Mirror Prooflike
7/8TF, VAM-32, A Top 100 Variety
1878 7/8F $1 VAM-32 MS65 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. A Top
100 Variety. Three tailfeathers are visible beneath the primary
seven, and a die line appears within the three right most
tailfeathers. According to VAMWorld.com: "The 1878-P VAM-32 is one
of the more rare 7/8 tailfeather coins. The reverse is heavily
polished as evidenced by the missing details in the tailfeathers.
This polishing appears to have lead to amazing mirrored finishes as
this coin often comes in DMPL or PL surfaces." This is such a coin,
with brilliant and mirrorlike surfaces and faint wisps of dusky
gold across each side. Razor-sharp at the centers and minimally
