Description

1882 Morgan, Frosty MS67
Rare, Among the Finest Known

1882 $1 MS67 PCGS. Ex: JCS Collection. This early Philadelphia issue is rarely seen finer than MS66, the present Superb Gem being among the finest coins certified by either grading service. Luster on this issue also tends to vary in its attractiveness. The present coin is distinctly frosted and brilliant, with incredibly sharp central detail as well. The surfaces are nearly pristine. For the Registry Set collector, this piece is simply essential. No Prooflike 1882 Morgans are certified finer than MS66, and even in that grade, they are prohibitively rare. This MS67 non-Prooflike piece is of exceptional quality. Population: 15 in 67 (1 in 67+), 0 finer (7/19).
