Description

Sharply Struck 1917-S Type Two Quarter
MS66 Full Head

1917-S 25C Type Two MS66 Full Head PCGS. CAC. This lovely Premium Gem is a beautiful example of this early mintmarked issue. The strike is impressive for a Standing Liberty quarter, irrespective of date. We call special attention to Liberty's Full head (J.H. Cline notes that three percent or less are struck with full heads), the inner shield (displaying horizontal and vertical stripes), the gown lines, and, on the reverse, the eagle's breast feathers. Scintillating mint frost overlays both sides. Only the lightest overlay of golden iridescence is noted as the surfaces rotate under the light. Encased in a green label PCGS holder. Population: 10 in 66 Full Head, 7 finer (10/08).
