1862 25C PR65 NGC. Proof mintages dropped drastically in 1862 because of the financial stresses of the Civil War. Only 550 proof Seated Liberty quarters were struck. This sharply detailed Gem exhibits attractive shades of bluish-gray and champagne-gold toning over reflective fields that show few signs of contact. Census: 12 in 65, 14 finer (7/12).(Registry values: P3)
