Description

1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, MS66
Ideal First-Year Type Representative

1916 50C MS66 PCGS. CAC. Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty design was introduced in 1916. The Mint struck what would stand as one of the smallest mintage in the series -- only 608,000 half dollars. This Premium Gem is typically well-struck; Softness on the gown lines was caused by a lack of engraving rather than a weak impression. Smooth, brilliant surfaces radiate softly frosted mint luster and show faint accents of pale gold peripherally. There are only five higher-graded submissions at PCGS (6/16).(Registry values: N1793)
