1931-S 1C MS66 Red PCGS. CAC. We have handled Premium Gem Red examples of this San Francisco issue on many occasions in the past, including several pieces within the last few years. But we have previously seen only 14 CAC-endorsed coins in this grade. The present example is a worthy Registry coin. Bold definition and rich copper-orange luster adorn mostly spot-free and unabraded surfaces. One small speck appears on the reverse below the I in AMERICA. CAC: 34 in 66, 0 finer (3/24).(Registry values: N1793)
