1870 $1 PR65 ANACS. OC-P1. Osburn-Cushing Die State a/a. Reddish-gold toning is deepest at the borders, while glassy-mirrored fields surround nicely frosted central devices. An attractive and well-produced proof, with fully struck motifs and mark-free surfaces save for one or two tiny lintmarks. Die doubling is visible on the scroll borders and at IN GOD. This is a full-fledged, gleaming Gem with substantial field/device contrast, housed in an early generation ANACS holder.(Registry values: N4719)
