Description

1910-S/S Ten Dollar Indian, MS63+
Triple Punched Mintmark

1910-S/S $10 MS63+ NGC. Breen-7114, VP-001. Walter Breen called this variety "extremely rare." Faint repunchings of the mintmark are visible to the left of the upper loop and beneath the lower loop of the primary S. This example is radiantly lustrous with rich honey-gold color and well-defined relief elements. The coin is in an early die state, as some of the repunching on the mintmark fades in later states. This is the sole finest example of VP-001 that NGC has attributed. Census (all varieties included): 25 in 63, 27 finer (5/23). (Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 268D, PCGS# 8867, Greysheet# 9765)
