Description

1903 Dollar, PR64 Cameo
Rarely Seen With Designated Contrast

1903 $1 PR64 Cameo PCGS. Starting in 1902, all-brilliant proofs were the desired format at the Mint and few proofs with field/device contrast were struck. This deeply mirrored example is an exception, displaying noticeable cameo effect from frost-white elements set off against reflective fields. A speckling of blue and reddish-gold toning enhances the contrast. The strike is pinpoint sharp throughout -- a near-Gem proof with exceptional eye appeal. Population: 3 in 64 Cameo, 2 finer (5/16).
