Description
1903 Liberty Head Twenty, MS65
Popular Type Coin
1903 $20 MS65 PCGS. Many collectors favor the 1903 double
eagle to represent the Liberty Head type. Although the mintage was
a modest 287,270 pieces, many are well-preserved and available
through MS65, with finer examples becoming scarce. This Gem
Uncirculated example displays attractive and lustrous rich-gold
surfaces that show only a few incidental marks on the frosted
fields and Liberty's portrait. The strike is sharp and eye appeal
is strong, and PCGS has certified only 15 numerically finer (along
with three Prooflike pieces) (4/25).Ex: Internet Auction (Heritage, 7/2010), lot 26309.(Registry values: N2998)
