Description

1885 Liberty Nickel, Rose-Gold MS66+
Engaging Luster

1885 5C MS66+ PCGS. Fairly uniform rose-gold patina enlivens surfaces that dance with engaging luster and show near-immaculate preservation on this Premium Gem key-date Liberty nickel. The strike is extremely well brought up even on the lower-left wreath ear of corn, and only a small dark tick shows on Liberty's neck, not at all consequential. A virtually unimprovable example. This key-date Liberty nickel is conditionally scarce this fine, and higher-grade pieces are exceedingly rare. The Registry Set collector should give this coin close attention. Population: 34 in 66 (4 in 66+), 3 finer (6/16).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2773, PCGS# 3846, Greysheet# 2950)
