Description

1857 Gold Three Dollar, MS62
Appealing for the Grade

1857 $3 MS62 PCGS. One of the more elusive Philadelphia dates from the 1850s, but still collectible in the present grade. This 1857 three dollar gold piece displays a sharp strike throughout the obverse and is predictably weak on the wreath bowknot. The satiny surfaces display warm honey-gold luster with minor field chatter that contributes to the grade. Population: 34 in 62, 56 finer (5/16).(Registry values: N2998)
