Outstanding PR67 Cameo 1871 Three Cent Nickel
1871 3CN PR67 Cameo PCGS. Only one PR67 Cameo has been certified by PCGS and one by NGC, and now we have handled both examples of this popular proof issue. The NGC coin we sold in last year's ANA Sale, where it brought $7,125. This is a very flashy proof and is brilliant throughout. Slight contrast is noted between the fields and devices and there are no obvious or distracting post-striking impairments of any sort on either side. Magnification reveals a number of light die striations on each side, which of course, are responsible for the depth of mirrored reflectivity seen on this piece.From the Bruce Scher #1 All-Time PCGS Registry Set.(#83767) (Registry values: N2998)
