Description

Finest PCGS Certified 1874 Three Cent Nickel Proof

1874 3CN PR67 PCGS. The quintessential proof 1874, being nicely mirrored and essentially as produced under soft apricot and lilac-gray patina. Faint striations in the fields are a product of striking and should not be confused with hairlines. One can locate a microscopic fleck of carbon on Liberty's cheek under close scrutiny, but little else of a distracting nature can be found. Currently the lone specimen certified as such by PCGS, being tied by a single NGC graded coin (1/05).
